Jason Gaddis was saved at the age of eight at Grace Baptist Church, Bowling Green, KY where Marvin Carson is pastor. He surrendered to the call to preach at the age of fifteen at youth camp. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1998 and the Baptist Bible Graduate School of Theology in 2001. The Lord gave him a burden for young adults in their teen and college years, and he served as college and career director at the Meadowview Baptist Church in Republic, MO. Later, he pastored Meadowview Baptist Church for three years.
Bro. Jason and his family came to Southwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City in August 2003 to serve as College and Career Director, and he also teaches at Heartland Baptist Bible College and Graduate School. During his seven years on staff at Southwest, the Lord allowed him many opportunities to get acquainted with the people here and gain experience in the ministry as he was mentored by his pastor, Sam Davison. Bro. Jason has preached at several youth conferences and camps across the country.
On May 3, 2009, Southwest Baptist Church called him as the next pastor effective May 2, 2010, upon the resignation of Sam Davison. The recent “Transition Sunday”, as the pastorate changed hands, was a testimony to the continued hand of God upon Southwest, and we are looking forward to seeing the church continue to move forward under his leadership. He and his wife Angie were married June 6, 1998 and have three children: Tyler, Trevor, and Trenton.
