The Man Believed The Word That Jesus Had Spoken
Dr. W. W. Weaver, Series: The Miracles of Jesus, The Man Believed The Word That Jesus Had Spoken, JOHN 4:46-54, Sunday School, 11/25/2018
Outline:
I. The sorrow of the nobleman’s life (45-46)
A . God allows afflictions to come into our lives, and those afflictions become messengers to bring us to the lord Jesus.
B. As the burdens grow greater, we recognize our need of the lord.
II. The Saviour of the world (48)
A. This man was rebuked by the lord.
B. Prayer is not trying to get god to come around to our way of thinking.
C. God has designed the christian life to be lived by faith, not by sight.
III. Lesson aims
1. Realize god uses sorrow to bring us to himself.
2. To understand our faith must not rest in what god will do, but in god himself.
3. To see that god always wants more for us than we want for ourselves and that he always has a greater plan and purpose.
4. To know that god is not only interested in meeting physical needs but more importantly with the salvation of souls.
5. Take god at his word and believe him to do what is best in our lives.
