Wilt Thou Be Made Whole
Dr. W. W. Weaver, Series: The Miracles of Jesus, Wilt Thou Be Made Whole, John 5:1-15, Sunday School, 12/2/2018
Outline:
INTRODUCTION
In every miracle Christ performed, there is a parable of instruction.
Notice the miracle recorded in John 5:1-15.
Let's see the instruction Our Lord has for us in this miracle.
I. HIS WEAKNESS (John 5:5)
A. This man was helpless
B. There is nothing we can do to help ourselves
II. HIS WILL (John 5:6)
A. This man had to exercise his own will
B. This miracle takes place at the pool of Bethesda
III. HIS WALK (John 5:7-9)
A. He got up and walked because God had made him whole
B. The Great Physician not only healed the man, but He also saved his soul (John 5:14)
CONCLUSION
1. To understand that all people without Christ are lost in sin and unable to help themselves
2. To see that Christ is interested in more than meeting physical needs—He is interested in the salvation of souls.
3. To see that Christ speaks to us individually and we must exercise our will to trust Him
4. To show that we are made whole, not by our works, but by God’s mercy and grace
5. To be a testimony to others by walking in obedience to our Savior who has made us whole
