4. He promises her (2:14-23).
5. He purchases her (3:1-3).
2. The Significance
A. We are the unfaithful wife.
1. Intimacy demands exclusivity.
2. Sin does not just break God’s law; it breaks His heart.
B. Christ is the Unreasonable Husband:
"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;" Ephesians 5:25
1. He pleaded with us.
2. He provided for us.
3. He punished us.
4. He promised us.
5. He purchased us.
