I. Relationships are more important than things or fame. (Matthew 6:19-21)
- Personal Relationship with the Lord (John 3:1-18)

- Parent and child relationship (Ephesians 6:1-4)
- Employer and employee relationship (Ephesians 6:5-9)
- Relationship with the church (Luke 15)

II. Nothing anyone can do to me will harm me; only my reaction can harm me. (Romans 8:28)

- Sold into slavery (Genesis 37:23-28)
- Served in Potiphar's house (Genesis 39:1-6)
- Lied on and put into prison (Genesis 39:7-20)
- He was placed in prison. (Genesis 39:22)
- He became the prime minister.

- It perpetuates God’s provisions
- It protects God’s people

IV. Each person is a creation of God and is unique. (Jeremiah 1:5)
- God created us
- God knows us
- God has separated us
- God has a purpose for us

V. Happiness is a by-product of relationship to God, not a goal. (Philippians 4:4-19)
* Contentment
- Where I am
- With what I have
- With whom I am with
- I can do all things through Christ
- I have everything
- I can accept anything
* How to prevent worry
- Right thinking
- Right living

VI. If I do the little things well, big things will take care of themselves. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
- Do them promptly
- Do them pleasantly
- Do them persistently
- Do them passionately
- Do them prayerfully
- Do them patiently

VII. Change is always possible. (Ecclesiastes 11:4)
- Don't get too high when things are going well
- Don't get too low when things aren't going well

VIII. We must not take ourselves too seriously. (Romans 12:3; James 4:14)
- We must be serious about the Word
- We must be serious about God's calling
- We must be serious about His command

IV. Everyone and everything are my teachers. (I Cor. 12:12)
- Each of us are one, but only one
* Since God made me what He wanted me to be, that excludes:
- All boasting
- All jealousy
- All grumbling
- All unthankfulness

X. Be all that you can be all the time. (Esther 4:13-14)
